People who do that either don't know, don't care, or do it on purpose. Just a fact of life and it will stay that way unless some drastic changes go into effect on how people obtain a drivers license and the expected driving skill that comes with it.

Unfortunately that will never happen, because a good % of the population would never be able to get a drivers license if that was the case, both skill and cost. The governement official(s) that would be responsible for that are thinking next term elections and what's PC, not what's good for our nation.

QFT. I try to let people know that I'm moving faster than they are and would like to go around. I hate passing on the right, I always feel edgy about it.

Incident #1 06 black v6 mustang with a fairly decent looking girl probably in her mid twenties flew by me. She gets held up at a light and so i roll to a stop next to her, little did I know she had a friend with her. The girl in the passanger seat is pointing and laughing at the FD. Not cool, but I let it slide, then the mother of all screw ups that she decides to do is revving the engine...big mistake. I look over at the giggling duo and smile. Light turns green they plant it. I sit for a sec and let them get ahead about 2 cars or so seeing as there was no traffic coming up behind me, then nail it in the middle of town. I grabbed 3rd as soon as i came up to the window and brraaaaaaaappp pshhhhhh. With a look of absolute terror on each of their faces my day was complete.

Anyways I was just thinking about that and wanted to hear some other stories others have experienced.
Haha... yeah some guy in an integra decided to be a tough guy in front of his g/f and rev me and my buddies. Since I was in front I just decided he should hear me at WOT and blew off next to him. His jaw dropped and his g/f gave him the "It's ok baby" neck rub. Haha

one night after i got out of school i was heading home on the loop 202 here in az, when this guy in a 90ish talon pulled up next to me and revved it at about 60. i was still driving my si at the time. i was in 5th to save on gas, when i dropped a gear and went to about 1/2 throttle. he got mad and he dropped into what sounded like 3rd. i said screw gas and dropped it into 3rd and wot. His face had the look of disgust and anger as i slowed down and let him pass me. later on he tried again and failed. Plus if you watch the movie the kingdom the freeway scene IS THE LOOP 202 here in mesa, AZ baby!!

Next was the turbo inlet piping and all the other good stuff off to get to the turbos for play...and yeah we got some play in the turbos. Well I think what the problem was some crossed up vacuum lines and boost spike that caused them to flop (thats just my analysis haven't a second opinion). Next I had Chris from Rx7.com send me a proper vacuum setup and now we are waiting on the turbos. I want to do a compression test too from Ray. We will see what happens next...I pray that nothing has gone up internally. I swear I will prolly cry if we run into something of that nature lmfao.
Damn man, that sounds bad, haha. What weld are you thinking is broken? You're talking about inside the engine? How long have you ran it like this? And it ALWAYS sounds like this?? How bad is the sound? I'd hate to think of a broken apex seal but it probably would have blown out the exhaust by now, with all hope. You can do a compression test at home really easy. I did quite a few with mine after it went down. I got a cheap gauge from Harbor Freight for about $10 and it works great. And with a remote starter I can do everything myself, which is how it usually is when I'm working on the car. Man I really hope you get that handled, that sounds bad. The play in the turbos was bad enough to get another set? I replaced my turbos too cause they were blowing oil pretty bad, and even though the car still wasn't running right I could tell I had more power at hand. And the replacement turbos had about half the mileage of the original ones...~65k miles, haha.
