Surpring!
Well Sunday night was just like Fast and the Furious...about 50 cars meet up every sunday night and drag up and down the street till the cops show up....But anyways......I work at Pep Boys, and a couple of other workers has owned Rx7s back in their day. They tell me the car is actually not that fast and cant beat that many cars running stock. Well I got to the line and some guy in a lightly modded 98-99 Integra......we took off and to my surprise I spanked him.....left him from the start, and beat him about 2 car lanes on a 1/4 mile stretch....Raced some other guy in a Ford Ranger....cat back and all, Beat him the same way.....then Raced this guy in a 5 series 03-04 BMW, I knew i was gonna lose but didnt expect to do as good, off the line i stuck with him, and stayed till 3rd gear.....So someone that really knows about 7's.....what can i beat. cause i've proved some friends wrong.....also....What kinda difference will that RB full exhaust system make....as well as the carb kit.....Weiber.....
I run an 88' vert

is it just me or do you have a Turbo II hood on there? now... this might be wishfull thinking, but does that hood happen to have a friend in the form of a Turbo II engine hiding underneath it?
if it IS a TII swap that raises your chances in any race...

Why would you waste your time on a 5 series, or a Ranger?
Think about it, if you beat a Ranger you gain nothing. If he beats you? "You got beat by a frikkin' RANGER!"
I'll tell you this right now (whether you believe me or not), the whole 'street-races' thing is NOT worth it, period. It's a bunch of idiotic, bad drivers, who race Ford Rangers and silly Honda's. If you want to get good at driving your car, or knowledgable about your car's mechanics, the 'street-race' scene will only bring you down.
Not to mention cops HATE street-racing. I've seen some TERRIBLE things go down at the Seattle/Kent street-races, i.e. people getting shot, fights, hit and runs etc... Not to mention the scary reckless driving that takes place all around you when people are racing or going to the next spot.
It was only after my good friends 16v show-car VW Rabbit got hit by a highly modd'd SR20det swapped s14 going 50mph. The Rabbit got hit from behind and was propelled into a crowd of people who flipped up on the Rabbit's hood.
To make matters worse, my friend had to climb out the window (because the frame was bent so bad) and he confronted the driver of the 240sx who threatened to pull a gun on him!

yeah street racing is stupid. i lost my licenses for that. now i realize how dumb i was for doing it. i mean whats the point?? risk your life just to say your cars faster?? you can do that at the track and trust me its alot cheaper that lawyers and court cost and all that bullshit. on a side note that half cuts $2195.00. youll need to call them and see when the nest time they go to japan is and if there going to get a FC. they said they sell normally before they hit the port and sometimes before the leave japan.

you dont need a donor car just go here http://www.jarcoinc.com/ . there in canton. they have full half cuts that come with the motor, trans, rear end, fuel pump, ect. everything you need for the entire swap.
Right now they are out of stock on the 7's. How often are they in stock....and is it the t2 cuz all it said was 13b

When it comes to comparing an Rx7 sportscar, to a BMW luxury car... There's simply no point, period. I can extract no value from the thought of racing an automatic, 4k pound, luxury sedan to a lightweight, older sportscar... Why?
I dunno, maybe the whole thought of racing a car like that brings up memories of highschool nonsense, where people 'raced' their parents non-racing luxury cars...
It just sounds elementary.
For example, I was playing pool at my house, when my sister, her boyfriend and one of his friends came down to play... We played a few games of 2 on 2, before someone got the bright idea to go get some food. I said, "nah, I'm gonna drive around a little bit and check on my car". The 'boyfriends, friend' asked me what car I had and I looked at him and said, "turbo Rx7..." He didn't know what I was talking about and he jokingly (almost arrogantly) said, "you wanna race"? (I smirked internally, because I just KNEW what was coming). I said, "what do YOU have". And he said he was borrowing his Dad's BMW 745il...
Perfect example of how it's the "n00bs" who feel the need to race non-race cars, even if they're *fast*. I guess I feel that I've graduated from that arena of thought.
That being said; avoiding street-racing, or aggressive street driving is one of my most difficult temptations... But now that I've been busted for drifting twice (in parking lots), gotten a 'neg. 2' for taking a hard-turn, and a reckless driving for street-racing, it's all (got to be) over...
