Yes i "raced" a van lmao. it was a three land road he was to the left some other person in the middle and then me. well i take off hard because i was running late (apprently he so was he lol), a couple seconds later i see a red van with pinstripes hauling some serious ***!! so i punch it and STILL he's pulling hard. I completely got destroyed by at least eight cars.

OMG, this has got to be the funniest **** I've heard in a while, hahahaha. At least you're taking it like a man, that's awesome. You'll get him next time, haha.
Let's not forget about that turbo Dodge minivan that beat the Camaro, I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. That should make you feel better OP. lol
EDIT: I think I'm talking about the same thing as Jzavala.

That sucks. I got beat by an 80's Accord once. And then a few other cars that I should have stomped. This was back before a majority of my mods.
On my car, the secondary throttle plate that is supposed to open slowly as the car gets warm, wasn't opening at all. It was stuck shut. This blocked all the air on the upper half of my TB. Which, even flooring it, the car didn't seem to pull very hard.
So, I removed it, though if your's is doing this I suggest that you just free it. And bam, back to kickin' butt.
If it is the turbo'd van though, which I have see a few of, stock, you might be able to keep up. But I have seen some that have FMIC and some other upgrades, and they can be quick. probably only 13-14 second cars, but that is still quicker then an N/A S4, and very quick for a van.
Good luck. Warm your car up, and then pop the hood, and check to make sure that those throttle plates are open.

The Omni GLH and Shelby GLHS are absolutely fearsome cars. The Shelby version has a flat torque curve, so it hits its stock maximum torque at 2000rpm and stays there untill 6000rpm. Combined with it being stupid lightweight, you end up with something that puts the hurt on corvettes, especially on the 1/4 mile.

Doesn't change the fact that it's ugly as sin.

In that case, I should mount some on the roof too!!
