It pays to play.....

Man can't even go to Walmart w/out someone wanting a piece. Have not driven the FD in a few weeks so I wanted to warm her up a bit. On the way home I hear a bit of tires screaching from around the corner and here he comes. A late model loud *** cobra brerathing down my neck. We get up to the next intersection and he wants to go. I can tell its not blown so I said "not really". I make a left and he comes in behind me and pulls up again. I stick to my new method and pull a $100 out of the glove box. I do this not be cocky but as a deterrent win or lose.. His significant other does not like this and she tells him to leave me alone. He takes off then slows back down next to me! I'm like christ leave it alone. He yells out well I gave it some thought and why not.. I tell him to around and get on the interstate w/ me. He does. We went 3 times from various rolls and it was not even close. The last time I gave him a car to be nice and eventually pulled away easily. We got off at the next ramp and he pulls over and gives me 5 twenties. Cool guy actually. Oh well she is still running well.. See ya G...

I've been using the $100 thing for years on cars I felt didn't have a chance. Only had 1 guy(honda) take the offer, beat him badly twice and he took off without paying
Also had an old guy in a newer bentley do a ricer flybye, so I pull up at the next light with the $100 race offer and he says "I crap bigger than you". I couldn't come up with a good comeback and he wouldn't go from the light so I went home with my tail between my legs.

Yeah.. I would never really expect someone to actually pull over and pay but what the hell... I would pay if I lost. By no means I would never go after someone. A coward act of taking off would leave me feeling even more satisfied....Hey its all in fun anyway.

No serious problem, just maybe a leaky injector. It didn't stop me from racing the Supra I haven't ran my car at the track since all the new "upgrades". Hopefully by Friday I'll have figured out why my car is running stupid rich , then take it to the track.

Hey, are you still located in Daytona? Was this the Walmart by Sams Club, or the Walmart on SR40?

I've never seen your FD around here, but if you say you don't drive it that much I guess that makes sense. The only 3rd-gen I've ever actually seen in this area was a VR Touring a few weeks ago outside Best Buy. It was really low with Tein suspension and the Tein character on the back where "RX-7" usually is, and I really stood and looked at it for 10+ minutes (If you're a member here and reading this, thanks for answering my questions and chatting. Seeing your car seriously made my week ).

Yeah, Garrett lives in Daytona. He drives the car once in a while, or when ever he wants to come out and play lol. That VR FD is probably that kid that goes to Embry Riddle. Did it have the OEM wheels painted black? If so, then it's deffinetly the kid.
