Had a little fun with video camera

I was bored the other night so I thought I would get some video of my 0-60 time so I could see what I am running with a hollowed out cat on my S5 na. I ran three times and the best was 8.2-8.3 so i'm running slightly better than stock. I am going to take my car to the track next wednesday to get a good 1/4 mile time. I'll post results then. For now here is the vid. The time will not match up if you time it because I had to lower framerate a little, but it is 8.2 on my video camera.

Haha, a friend of mine timed his 0-60 of 8 in his Hyundai Accent with I/H/E, that's pathetic.

If it makes you feel better, we G-Tech'd my buddy's Mazda Navajo to get a 0-60 time of 12.7 seconds....

i ran a 8.1x and an 8.0xx on my stock 91 n/a with only a cone filter. however with i/h/cb an msd ignition and some minor weight reduction i got it down to 6.3 ~ 6.5. i was pretty impressed concidering that it was on the stock ecu and stock ports. with a good clutch and light flywheel i think it actually could of been a semi quick car but the noise was nearly unbearable...im so going turbo next time i want a 7 to have fun with.

I don't have money either, no job, i just chose to sell everything of value i didn't need, Guitar, wheels, a spare car, etc. Sorry, but an 8 second 0-60 is pathetic, an average economy car can do that, shoot, my mom's '98 Caddy can do it in 6.9.

An 8 second 0-60 in a car that does an 8.5 second 0-60 stock is pathetic? I have a K&N Filter and gutted cat. How should my car run any faster? I was not comparing my car to anything I was simply stating my results. Your trying to talk trash about 7's as usual and someone called you on it.

Gutted cat? Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't there 3? Pretty sure a diagram i saw of FCs showed three like the FBs i've owned. Did you time your 0-60 insted of going by a rating? There's alot of factors that determine actual times from ratings, driver, road condition, tires, atmopheric pressure. Gutting a cat does next to nothing, if you want gains, run a pipe through them, that's still a big chamber for losing exhaust velocity. Like i said i reply to your PM, i don't trash talk all Rx-7s, TIIs, FDs, are very respectable cars, even the GSL-SE is a decent car. I just hate when people think their stock 12a or N/A FC is Godlike and fast, there's alot of people like that. Obviously i have an interest in Rx-7s, i own one and i've been here for almost three years with 2,000 tech section posts. I know my Rx-7 sucks, i know it's not fast, and i know most people laugh at it.

Then go troll elsewhere? If you don't have anything nice to say, **** off.

If obviously had money also if you turbo'd the Civic. Its annoying to see people go around on these forums to rap on NA's and the like.

Troll elsewhere, ha, i'm not a troll, i've been here much longer than you have. I turbo'd it by piecing together parts for a year as i got money from selling things, otherwise, there's no way i could afford it.

Did you mount your camera by wedging it in the seat? It worked on my Integra, didn't work so good in this car.

Not trying to show him up or say "My car is mad fast", but i just got it running decent, fixed coolant leaks and just got a new clutch in and took a video. This is my 0-60 by the way, 5 seconds at 10 of 20psi. :P Clip should be a total of 7 seconds, but it's as pointless as the video he posted, if it's not that long, refresh Putfile.

Wow you really want to put down this guy. Thats pretty good you have very minimal mods and were able to acheive better times than stock ( especially with a NA) apparently you are a much better driver than honda boy here who thinks his integra is the shiz.

I don't have an Integra, i have a Civic. So because i drive a Honda i can't drive? Please.

Look at you guys, i proved a point, i can't talk down on a car, but you guys can talk down on Hondas. If i posted my Civic with a gutted cat doing 0-60 in 8 seconds, i would be flamed.
