Keep making statements like this and you'll make LOTS of friends around here. We like peolpe who have complete disregard for the safety of everyone around them and are totally nonchalant when they get called out on it. Take this BS to the lounge.

There's two kinds of girl drivers...ones that are afraid of driving and go 10miles below the speed limit, and then there's the ones that don't give a crap and drive like maniacs...im usually the one that tells her to slow down lol. I just got the damn car and i wanted to see what it could do. It's not like I think im in the fast and the furious.

Yeah really. Here its only 10 bucks to run on the drag strip. They only do it every other week and during the summer but its not like a RX7 was built for winter racing. I'd rather wait than die.

WRONG.
Neither you or anyone else here is a god behind the wheel. I hate to keep picking at an open wound but if you do a little reading HERE:
https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/%2A%2A%2Asad-news%2A%2A%2A-dave-guitarjunkie28-passed-away-today-1-30-07%2A%2A%2A%2A-619141/
you may see the error of your ways. You can race your car up the street 100's of times and never have a problem but it only take ONE mistake to kill you and very possibly kill an innocent bystander(s). GuitarJunkie was a well respected member of this community and I really hope his death helps keep others from making his mistake.

Sell your car
With your mindset, dont come to any of the local SoCal meets, we dont take kindly to idiots on the streets. Watch the news latley? There were 2 incidents in the last month where innocents were killed.

2. you guys are giving this guy too much ****.
3. you guys should be welcoming and helpful instead of cynical and just being plane ********.
4. i don't drive like that on the streets, nor do i want to risk my life for having 10 seconds of fun.
5. its all about having fun, and being safe at the same time.

Serious? I noticed it from the first day you had it... I hate it because I always confuse you with Aaron Cake.. lol. My brain mixes up pictures and words apparently.. I'm dumb.
So... EVERYBODY on here has sped on city streets.. EVERYBODY.... He's probably young.. everybody does it when they are young.. That doesn't make it right, but it still happened... I don't do it any more, but i have done it more than once.. I had the common sense to do it with nobody around and I'm assuming (hoping) the OP did too. Let it go.
OP. You aren't going to do this on public streets now that you know how dangerous it is.... right? RIGHT!
Get yourself a rebuild+street port. It'll cost you a pretty penny... but it'll be worth it. Even more worth it would be to find a lowish-mileage TII. Or even a lowish mileage S5.. or even an already rebuilt S4.... Money is money..... car is a car.. sell what you can to get what you can. Unless you are overly attached to your 86NA.

like me for example, i was gonna get rid of my GTUs and just buy a tII, but i found that i was way too attached to my GTUs so im putting a tII in my GTUs, its costing me a lot more than it would have to just buy a tII though : /

I do not mean to be an ******* but my wife is a nurse and the stories she hears from other nurses not to include the couple incidents my wife has experienced first hand are horrible. PEOPLE striaght up die from this **** just because of the disrespect for a cars abilty to turn into a killer.
Or 7's our simply CARS. They are not the fastest machines on earth, they do not make your social stature grow ten fold once we obtain them nor does it want to prove anything to anyone.
come on man......

thats what I was thinking, I have beat a few cars in my n/a that should have taken me only because I was a better driver. I used to do alittle street racing around town a long time ago. Now I find myself on open country roads testing my abilities.

Murry......when I was a kid I my step dad was a California Highway Patrol Officer and he had pictures up in a closet of kids my same age at the time that had been in crash's. Those were the worst pictures I have ever seen.

like others have said street racing is a deadly act that should not be tolerated! i can honestly say i speed everywhere i go, not to drastic extreams like 120 or whatever but like 5-10 over the posted speed limit. i know it is wrong but if you go by he letter of the law 1 mph over is a ticketable offense!
sorry again for offending any of GuitarJunkie's friends! may he be driving in heaven in a rotary powered charoit!!
