It's called "cleaning the gene pool".

What if these idiots happen to injure, maim, or kill a loved one of yours?
I'd bet your attitude would change drastically.

Sure, millions of incidents like this happen all over the world.
Many don't end up hurting anyone, but they all have the POTENTIAL to do so.
Did this "street" have no cross streets?
Would you be able to avoid a person or vehicle crossing your path?
What about residences?
There's no excuse to be doing this kinda **** around homes and houses.
It's a PUBLIC street for christsake!

We'd be lucky if we all were able to grow out of this mentality and not hurt anyone.
You're damned in hell if you did manage to hurt or even kill someone - you have to live with the guilt...if you survive.
Stop being selfish and think about others for a change!

Sure, I'm the pot calling the kettle black...
I've done it; I'm not going to deny it.
I don't do it anymore...or at least not as often.
And to the dumbass who thinks they can rev me and think I'd fall for that bullshit - I wouldn't.
Been there...done that.
I'm just lucky I've grow out of that testosterone adolescent mentality.
I'm old enough to be most of your dad's right now.
I count myself one of the lucky ones.

Sorry for the sermon on the mount, but too all the kids who think about posting **** like this, I will ALWAYS jump on your *** for being stupid...

havent even been a forum member for very long, but Ted, you're already my hero.

and to the OP. losing to pontiacs happens, just be glad it wasnt a grand am gt. you'd have had your butt handed to you in carlengths. take it to the track and learn to drive it better, its safer, and you can beat the crap out of the car without much threat of injuring others. but in case you are that bad of a driver, ask em for a solo run

1. I wasn't implying that anyone IS god... it's an analogy...
2. Not likely.
3. Help him so he can go 65 (more likely 75) over the speed limit in town some more? I think not.
4. Good to hear.
5. Correct! and 65+ over the speed limit is NOT safe.

Let's be realistic here, I could understand if the guy was out with his girl at 2am on an open stretch of highway with no other cars around, but that's not the case. He was totally reckless and he deserves the flaming he's getting and so does anyone else who acts like it's no big deal to put everyone else's lives at risk for "10 seconds of fun."

ok i know i am going to get bitched at for this, but where in the aforementioned thread does it say GuitarJunkie was street racing
No I don't think you will be bitched at but you may be corrected a little. There WERE links to articles that laid out what happened but it looks like they are no good anymore. The car he hit was a 2001 Saturn SC (go back and look at the pics) and the reason he hit it is because he lost control of his FD and crossed over the double yellow. There was a father and son in a truck that Dave passed who confirmed that he was driving recklessly and well over the posted speed limit. The guy in the truck tried to help but all he could do was hold Dave's hand while he died.

Also, when I said "race" I really meant speed/drive recklessly in general. My apologies for not being clear.

Wow this thread is headed no where good. First of all, what would make you think that a 21 year old N/A RX-7 was fast in stock form? Second, why would you think you were going to destroy a car that is 3 years old, has better power management, and more power overall?

Come on kids, say it with me, N/A's are not fast. To put it in perspective, my N/A SW20 MR2 could beat N/A FC's... and that thing was a turd (great at autocross though).

This dumbass has a screenname and you can learn to use it. You say your past that ****, but you know someone pulls up beside you and blips the throttle and gives you a little blowoff , suddenly your right leg acts like a dick and gets hard for it. 24,000 post and most of it is declaring yourself king of all knowledge, it gets old.
To the original poster, sorry you got owned , and be careful in your future endeavors. Don't let natural selection take you or anyone else out on your watch, lol.

Racing everything that revs at you is for the insecure. 90% of the time I can just glance over and know if it would even be worth racing. If I were to race someone I know, and it was a serious race, it wouldn't happen on the street. Beating someone on the street is for Honda's and lifted trucks. It makes them feel like their ***** is actually comparable to the rest of the world, even when it's not.

roughrex i stand corected!now i understand why it was used as a reference!

i do, however, hate it when people say that you should die if you have raced on public streets......to that person ( you know who you are) you can go off yourself now!!
