got killed by my own car in a 350Z

went to get some food with my friend that drove a 350Z the other day. on the way home we decided to switch cars. at the red light he signaled that he wanted to race.

so i pop the Z in 1st, revved to 3k and waited for the light to go green. light goes green and i give'er. but, it turns out that i forgot to swich off the TCS (the fd doesnt have that hahaha) so it cut power, but none the less we both went for it. the 350 was half a car behind when i switched to 2nd. but after that, it was done. the fd just kept pulling, by the time i shut it down at the end of 2nd gear the fd was already 5-6 cars ahead. i said to myself, "**** my car is fast"

the Z was pretty much stock, VQ35DE not the HR, with an injen cold air intake.

yeah that doesnt suprise me 350z's are pretty slow. That must have been a weird feeling for your friend. because he was winning but then the realization that his car was the loser thats awesome.

The 350z is by no means a slow car.

FD's are just fast...

350z is neither a fast, nor a nice car in my opinion. I've been in a few and raced a few. Not a fan. And I'm not comparing it to an FD... I comparing it to my opinion of what a fast car should perform. Like I said, my opinion, no stated as fact

think about it, nissan had 9 years to beef up the fairlady name. my 2400lb fc KEPT up with a 350z vert. it's gearing sucks ***. its not that big of a surprise that a FD spanked it.

Yeah, what did he say after the race? I am sure anything he said would of been comedy gold.
