agreed, that was a fairly substantial pull for the length of the race. If the Rx-7 was making ~500 rwhp, the Supra was definately making 650+

You obviously haven't "street raced" much, because if you did or knew anything about that "world" you would know YOU DON'T let all the "cats" out the bag if you don't have to. Come on man use your damn head. .......NOT YOUR EARS

Amazing, this guy's got ears so highly calibrated, he can give horsepower figures over the net. You've got a bright future with this talent.

Forget dynos! Just send this guy a youtube vid of a car making a pull, bam, he'll send you a chart telling your HP and TQ.

No, the dyno is from tuxedo park racing here in stlouis. Its a dyno where you take your wheels off and bolt the dyno to the car. Ive heard one of the most accurate dynos. The HP ratings are to the wheels. We had a huge tuning session a few years ago with kan, where he tuned 20+ cars on that dyno.

I have dynoed on Tuxedo Park’s dyno as well as a local Dynojet and the numbers were within a few horsepower of each other.

Perhaps the following will help to understand the fields used on the Tuxedo Park dyno.
In addition to the PowerFly number there is a Power number. The dyno allows the dyno operator to enter a factor to compute power at the flywheel from the power measured at the wheels. You’ll notice that PowerFly equals Power, so the field was set to 1. In other words if a factor other than 1 was used, PowerFly would be higher than Power.

A method to roughly estimate the horsepower of the Supra is to consider the horsepower to weight ratio of each car. Let’s assume the FD curb weight is 2800 pounds and the Supra’s curb weight is 3600, so 500/2800 = X/3600 or X = 643 rwhp.
So a rough comparison would be a 500 horse FD would keep up with a 643 horse Supra.

ill just forget you said that. all im saying is... he may mave made that kind of power? but not many people run around on c16 all day everyday. most people have a street tune. 92-93 oct tune. making alot less power for day to day driving. im not saying im right nor did i say you can tell just by watching that video. but an educated guess tells me that car in THAT video wasnt making 700whp.
a supra making 700whp is one violent bastard, and 9 times out of 10 when they spool up on video all the noise you hear is the turbo and exhaust. i may be wrong but i didnt get that from this video.
i cant help but read all the child like responses to me stating my opinion...

You do have a valid point roach, but you have to understand, this is RX-7 Club. Its impossible for even a 1,200rwhp Supra to kill a singled FD .

Just so you know, your an idiot. You have no idea what you are talking about. You cant base a car on how fast it is by the way it sounds. ****, my open wastegate FD was loud as ****, but only made 400whp. The FD had 500whp, and got 3 cars put on him. 3 cars on a highway roll is aprox 10 mph trap speed. atleast. I trapped 122 with 400whp, meaning the 500whp he probably trapped about 130. The supra would need to trap 140+ to pull on him like he did, and 140 trap in a supra is about 700whp. Just stop responding, seriously.

No, it's a "one off" Golf RSI race car built by a German performance company called Dahlback. It's a 2.1L turbo inline 5 that makes 950bhp... Plus it's AWD!!!
ENJOY!!!!
