FD vs Supra. One of the few loses i hope to have

This was a 2nd gear punch at 45mph. My mods are in my sig. His supra is fully built with a 71 trim single. He would not disclose any HP numbers but he was laying stripes in 3rd gear on slicks. Rumor has it that he was close to 30psi. So im guessing 700rwp??

Im getiing my new tranny, 4.3 gears, 4" exhaust and more boost. Then re-race. I hate to lose.

Nice run, a 71mm Supra on race gas is a beast. ~30psi will make into the 700s on a 6 speed car.

...I know, sorry i lost guys. There really isnt much i can do other than turn the boost up. It is VERY rare for me to loose a race, so i figured i would post one loss for the many wins i have posted.

Sorry about the loss. Props for posting it though. I thought the T78 can never lose too until I just got my *** handed to me 3 times in a row by another FD at the track....
Didn't look like you brake boosted or got too good of a start, that's always a problem for me too. Hope you get him next time, maybe from a dig?

yeah, seems rare for an stl supra to pull like that. the big ones are few and far between from what i've gathered. could be wrong though.

edit: ice, are you gonna get everything in and make it to the Kan session in march? def. like to see your car.

If this is Phantasm's car (which I think it is), he is such a tool. And from the looks of it, he barely pulls on you. I think he puts down about 660 whp. When I get back to STL this summer i will put some C16 in my tank and see how he fares against me.

I dont know about barely, it looked like he got yanked pretty hard, 3+ cars in only a couple gears.

Match his boost, Iceman and it will be a different story!

It didn't look like you were quite ready for this "race".

Whats this gay **** with the camera man yelling out the count? He says 2 and you can hear the supra taking off already. Why aren't more people smart enough to figure out this simple 3 honk method? This isn't rocket science.

Also, find a new cameraman who can figure out how to film without getting his hands in front of the lens for 90% of the shot. Seriously wtf?

Had you brake boosted, it may have been a different outcome. FYI.

Sad news ice seems to have poped his motor he posted in the lounge! Zinx you or i would probley put it on that supra in the 1/4. I never give a supra an even break there just to damn fast after they get those barges rolling. I have eight friends that own them and they can be made very fast.

If y'all weren't so far away, I'd come put a beat down on that Supra like it was in the video.

a 71 mm on a stock block can get about 800rwhp on the supra. And you have mentioned a fully built motor? So he is probably pushing a good bit more with even just mild cams. Good race!!

Damn say it isn't so. What let go?

I'd definitely try to get them from a dig, they are nasty from a roll. There are a couple here in Indy making over 1k to the wheels. They go after turbo busa's when they are running. Not a car to take lightly.

Yes it was Phantasms. Yes i think i popped the motor yesterday. I have to do a compression test to determine, but im pretty sure its trashed. Time to build it bigger and stronger!
