Exactly. A 360 rwhp FD is a mid to high 11 sec car - very quick - especially on a roll with a lot of cold air

My guess is he got on it pretty good, but that you got on it a lot harder.
I think fd's that are 11 to 12 second cars are probably a majority of the ones out there.

Also since I bought all my Porsche's the resale value has gone up or stayed close to even. The 996 based cars have sunk like a rock in comparison each year because they are bad. The funny thing is in 10 years I don't think a base 996 Carrera will be worth as much as my 944 and its all about production numbers. Regardless, I have worked on both extensively and I rather have my 924 VW's
Ah, okay. Wait, what the hell Porsche am I thinking of? Heavy as hell? FR layout? Anyone?

nice kill, im sure it happened.

id like to know if it was the new 997. idk of anyone that has run against one yet.

also the turbo porsche is AWD. gt2 gets rid of the AWD in favor of the correct setup.

I totally believe this kill.

how funny I actually posted this exactly one year ago:

For a $145K car (used) I expected to be blown away but it didn't even come close to that. Sweet looking car though.

If I won the lottery the FD would still be in my garage. But in better condition . (better sound system, better tires, no oil leaks, new paint)

Like I said the porsche felt a tad faster than my FD (I had all the boltons and only pushing 12 lbs). Now Keep in mind that matty is pushing 15...

tks, was a pretty cool run.

not sure if some of u remeber but i raced my buddies 03 z06 couple months back. he has intake , headers -xpipe-exhaust, some throttle body mod and tune. i beat him at 14psi. twice. now he has a cam and wants to give it another go. i am gonna turn boost to 17psi and in this cooler weatehr i think i am gonna get him.... he just made 439rwhp. i made 360 at 14-15 in warm weather. with 17psi and 40 degree temps i think she will make 400rwhp. i did trap 119mph a couple times the other night at 15psi. i think thats abit more then 360 rwhp. so with the added boost it should be making good rwhp.

if i beat a z06 with those mods while still on the stock twins and stock engine it will be damn impressive. will post the details once they happen. we should do this by next week.

Nice kill.

I think it's funny that (random) haters "don't believe" what happened... I mean c'mon, would someone really be going *partial-throttle* up to 140mph while RACING? That's just ridiculous...

dave at kdrotary did it first. then steve kan did it when i added the twin power. Kan;s tune was quicker (although that could have been b/c of the twin power) but daves tune was cleaner.

I was pulling on a Turbo a few months ago. Pushing 13-14 psi I started to pull on him by the end of 4th gear. At 140ish he pulled to the right lane and gave me a thumbs up. Little did I know, I had popped my engine. 65psi on all three faces of the front rotor. AARRRRGGGGGGG

the new 997 911t traps 123-125 stock. and there 4wd where the boost controller raises the boost to 20lbs to allow 500hp of torque. you gotta have some power to outrun these!

it probably was a 996

Sorry, but 500hp of torque? horsepower of torque? rly? Torque is measured in ft/lbs, or n/m not hp.
Nice kill too!
