you are such a tool

you all contradict everything...ooooh Hondas aren't no drag cars, no they arent i agree...but can easily be built for it. That RSX is proof. It's funny you hate, because that little NA 4 cylinder will always be faster than any car you own or could build hahaha.
And for those of you that say Honda's aren't race cars....just check out the Honda World Challenge circuit cars. DAMN ******* FAST I saw them at Hyperfest at Summit point, lapping everyone!.....
gotta give respect in those cases

Ooooh so he had people in the car with him...at least 2 other people...What mods to your FD...
Because a GSR bored toi 2.0 and minor boltons, should run a low 14 somewhere around there. And if your stock you can't be too much faster. It sounds to me like this car isn't tuned as well as it should be, AND he had 2-3 other people in the car with him! And the way you started this thread sounded kind of ignorant. I don't care if the kid in the Honda is talking **** or not, handle it better, brush him off man.

The only thing left that's Honda on that car is the valve cover.

i stopped right here because this is an ignorant statement.
the car you described is a motor with wheels, that is all i will describe it as so you can decipher that into however you want.

If you want to be fast in a straight line for cheap there are much better options such as older V8's, and if you want to be insane around the turns and have the ability to be fast in a straight line for cheap why not get a Miata? The Civic is only chosen because it became the icon of tuning when its potential surprised most of the automotive community, but now it has been played out and it's time to look at vehicles that are actually something special.
Think about it: you can pick up a decent 4th generation civic for less than $1000- $1500 with hardly any rust or body damage at all. Then, pick up a b-series (usually whichever you can find a deal on, I personally found a b16a for free ) and all the hardware to install it into the car. Now, if you've spent over $3500, you're doing soimething wrong. So, again, you've got a good base car with some power behind it (BTW, IMHO, these 4-banger have great powerbands, 'specially for the weight of the cars they're in), and for relatively cheap, get some decent suspension (tokico illuminas are about $300, decent springs are usually less than another $300). Now, you've got a deacent car to get around in that is both reliable and fairly quick compared to anything else you (I) can get for that price.
If you're not satisfied (I wasn't, for the record), it's pretty cheap to go turbo, whether you piece together your own kit (cheapest), or buy one from somewhere (easiest).

[Edit:] If I were to go for anything lower than 10's on a stock chassis, I probably wouldn't go with a Honda.

Your average EF runs low 14s with a b16a and simple bolt-ons, like intake, header, and exhaust, and with a decent (not super good, just decent) driver. Now, the b18c1 is a far superior motor, being as it has better cams, more displacement, more torque due to a longer stroke, and different combustion chamber design. And then you have the b18c and b18c5 (the Integra Type R motors, for those of you who don't know), which are very similar to the GSR engines, but tuned better. Meaning, it has different fuel maps, even better cams, better valve springs, higher compression, and the head flows better. Now, if you take any of those engines and bore it out, you EASILY are down to 13s in an EF, especially if you upgrade the valvetrain and get it dyno tuned. Now, I'm gonna take a guess and say the civic the guy who started this thread raced probably had started with the b18a or b18b out of the Integra LS, which is DOHC, non vtec, and only have 130hp for the b18a, and 140 or so hp for the b18b. And if you have vast doubts about what a honda is capable of, just go to homemadeturbo.com, where there are plenty of people who have built cheap, custom, junkyard builds, and get their cars to go a lot faster than your avereage ricer. And all in their front yard. Now, I'm not dissing anyone, simply pointing out that a honda is great for a high school/college student who wants a budget weekend warrior. By the way it's ED not EF
I've owned a couple ED's i know what they are capable of. I'm building an all motor 12sec ED8 right now on stock internals ;-)

Ok got it on youtube. Here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffGsl2zkPKw
The first race was alot better. I started in 1st instead of 2nd. I did this just to let him get some kind of advantage. Im still at stock boost. He has pretty much everything except turbo and nitrous.
