C5 and 10 bikes.

On the way back from the southside I spotted a c5. Hocky tried to run it but he was not taking the bait. I downshifted to 3rd and he took off. I pulled him really bad like 3 cars or more. The next to go were some rockets. I turn to go chase a viper that I saw pass which did not know how and/or want to street race. The bikes where in a pack on a twisty road that I live off of. I turn out in front and the first three riders nail the throttle and are on my ***. I shift to 2nd and smoke the tires going into a tight sweeping left hander. I late apex and the bike all early apex and I put a **** load of space between us. I slow down and waited for them to come up again and proceed to dust the three of them on the straight as well. We came up to some more turns ofcoarse them do the same **** and all get smoked again. Good weekend. All your race are belong to Supra!!!!!

I don't know nor do I care. I have had uber track time and have been an instructor. What would make you think that the bikes would be better in the turns anyway?

I should have a good brun out vid coming soon.

yea its really all in the driver\rider.. but anyway cars with 4 wheels will always handle better then anything with 2 wheels plain and simple.. I have years more experience racing my bike and im still faster in my car..

I dunno, I've put some good drivers to shame. I can drive good, but I ride better. I would like to know these riders before I completely buy your story, but I'll give you the benifiet of the doubt, and what mods do you have to your supra?

I've given up trying to defend bikes here, it's pointless. No matter how many times I say a 600cc bike will kill you with $200 worth of mods or less, no one ever seems to listen.

What type of mods? Are you talking straight line acceleration?

Ya I agree, it depends on the driver/rider. Merlin, I'm at the same conclusion. Were the guys riding the bikes in full leathers at least? If not then they're squids and they have no business riding those "Monkey focking a football" bikes.

Because bikes are made for handling and supras are not.

Yes it appeared that most of them had leathers.

I'm not questioning you or whether you actually did it or not, it's not like I don't believe you. I just don't think the guys on bikes were very good riders.

guys it also all depends on how much the rider of the bike is willing to push him/herself. If you crash in your Supra/RX7 you have metal, seatbelts and airbags to help your out. If you are riding a bike and you crash you have whatever you put on your body that day before you left the house to help you out. So, with that being said I would be willing to bet on most occasions a guy in a somewhat powerful car will give a guy on a very powerful bike a run for their money simply because they have less to loose if things go wrong.

As far as straighline racing is concerned there is a lot more going on than twisting the throttle and pointing the bike in the right direction. You could have one rider that knows how to carve the conrers be totally cluseless about getting every ounce of straighline power out of their bike and makes themselves look like clowns against a car that SHOULD (key word here is should) easily fall to that bike. Problem is not everyone knows, or just flat out forgets about gear selection to go WOT and the biggest one that baffles me is to tuck. Cars already have an advantage over bikes (at least car like the Supra and RX7 go, not a 1953 Buick) when it comes to aerodynamics. The biggest advantage a bike has over a car is it's power to weight ratio but once you get up over 100MPH you start to loose that because it's not as important anymore to increase your speed.

Now give the guy some slack, I don't doubt for a second that what he says happened. Not only that but just because someone wheres full leathers doesn't make them a MotoGP contender and just because they are riding the latest and greates bike according to the magazines doesn't mean they have a clue how to use it. It's easy to look the part but it's hard to be the part.

A 520 conversion, and in my case a 15/50 sprocket combo, plus a set of tie downs and maybe a dogbone in the back. I'd rape you at the strip and depending on what track it was, I either would beat you or come very close to beating you. For some examples, Hayden's (different kinda bike, I realize, but I couldn't find AMA times for Laguna) best at Laguna was a 1:24 while the best practice time put down for the practice round of the Grand Am Cup there was a 1:39 in a Porsche 996 driven by Darren Law.

So no, cars are not always faster at the track.

Why do people that have small things done like momo steering wheels, shift *****, and pedals allways list those??? Cracks me up.

Anyways, I've got a full Yosh carbon fiber (RC-3) exhuast system, Stage 3 Dynojet jet kit, about to switch over to a 520 chain, going down one in the front, maybe go up to 2 in the back, haven't decided yet, and I can keep up with a modded supra in the 1/4 if not smoke it.

In some instances that may be the case.....but this is a Supra, a big heavy sport touring car that isn't made for carving corners.
