I don't know sonicrats wrx is pretty damn fast for only having a reflash. It was faster than my tII when I had my stage I hybrid, full exhaust and intake etc.. etc.. Now it's not as fast as my car with the stage IV bnr, microtech etc... but then again if he had the same mods I bet it would have played a number on my car.

hey REHarrioson your full of sh*t theres no way in hell you were even with a WRX on your GSR with just (i.h.e) i had a wrx and killed my cousins GSR and he had way more mods than just intake, header and exhaust. i currently have a FC T2 w/racing beat turbo back exaust (high flow cat) Greedy FMIC, Greedy BOV, Cravenspeed Boost controller(running 12 psi), intake and a couple of other mods and i would say that its about as fast as my WRX was w/full exhaust and a boost controller

there are minor diffs between the wrx and the sti one is that the turbo i smaller on the wrx then the sti and the sti turbo is small. my friend ian has a 05 sti. he runs a max of 20psi thats all the turbo will produce. the sti is not overrated at all they are very fast cars. they are a 13.5 sec car from the factory his has a 3" downpipe, full 3" exaust, greddy recirculating bov, greddy boost controler, and ecutech he's pushimg 270 awhp bout 330bhp. and srt-4s are shitty

You can get more than 20psi out of the stock STI turbo, it just wont hold for sh*t. I actually just road-tuned one with only TBE and it was seeing 21-22psi on pump.

hey dudes, there are some serious WRX's here in perth, most have 300hp+ at the wheels. I think Perth WRX is one of the largest car clubs here.

I havent been up against one yet, but my s4 NA can hold its own with a 3ltr V6.

it all depends on his mods man, i have actually raced 2 wrx's, one of them seem like it was stock and the other seemed to have exhaust and i don't know what else. the one that was stock wasn't much competition even of the line, the other one seemed a little faster but as soon as they hit 3rd is like they slam the brakes because they get slow. my TII was pushing 226whp in those races and i beat them with not much problems. so if you have a tII with a couple of mods and if youre friend is stock or just intake exhaust etc. ill say you can smoke him with no probs.

Just like the TII the WRX responds to exhaust and chip very well. Look at the stage 2 kit, just ECU and full exhaust. That adds 59.4 WHP (36% power increase). So TII pretty much with stock turbo has no chance with same mods. Sorry guys.

Are we talking about the same wrx's? the 227 bhp ones? :-/ I raced an 02 with bpu's from a roll and it was a joke... my mods at the time were 3" turbo back, intake, nipodenso fuel pump, microtech lt-10 on a JDM s5 motor and that was with massive heat soak before i got my fmic...

I just cant believe some people are acting like the wrx is the sti... the wrx guy had the same attitude before i put bus lengths on him too...

A stage 2 (chip and full exhaust) has more power than a stock STi. The WRX factory map is really crappy and holds back a lot of power. It's tuned to work anywhere in the world in any type of weather and altitude.
