i think he should change his disclaimer to "i like to post all day about a car that i own but hate. my goal is to continously put down my car so that other forum members get angry after hearing it for several yrs. the reason is b.c i have no life. i need to go to a rx7 enthuasist forum and bash the car sometimes explicitly and sometimes stealthy

Its a fact i wont leave. Its a fact i wont change the way i post. Its a fact i could care less if you agree with what i say or not. Its a fact i could care less if what im saying complies with your feelings or not.
So why not just end it all and take 10 seconds and put it all to rest? Thats why each forum has that option.
Its simple. Because even if you really "hate" what i say, you JUST have to read what i say.

It's not running right at the moment unfortunately. I'm taking it up to Orange County Corvette to figure out why it's not making boost(belt isn't slipping, boost gauge is accurate, no leak in the system, etc etc.). It may also go for some upgrades too depending on what I do with my FD.
A friend of a friend is trying to get the money to buy my FD from me so I can pay off bills, and do some more mods on the C5. If he doesn't, and I don't end up selling it, I'll probably yank the motor on the FD and begin operation LS1-3 swap. Granted, I'll be stuck with spam food for the next couple of years, but it'll be worth it.
Decisions, decisions.

No it’s not about that either see above.
I did that to two guys in a Mustang GT Vert that made almost 650hp in the C5 2 months ago. Haven't ran into any cars faster than me yet in San Diego, though I've only had the car 3 months, and my friend only had it boosted 4 months before that.
What power is your civic making, and what times can you hit with it? Sounds like a fast car man, if it's taking down 11 second V8's.

I got a friend with a TT Mark IV supra. Nice car. Great for drag racing and highway runs, but it's a pig on the road courses/canyons. The motor is damn near indestructible, and loves mods. But a corvette with 200 less hp can keep up once the mods start piling on. 
And corvettes were setup to run 91 octane, not 93. Which is why my boosted C5 runs on 91 just fine.

A honda civic isn't worth my gas. Last race I did with my boosted C5 was against a boosted Mustang claiming 550 to my 485. Closest matchup I've been able to find out here. Otherwise I don't bother. If my FD was running better, I'd be matching it up to stock C5's and such. The 240sx with stock boost, about the same. Though I don't mind trying to race faster cars with a slower car, just to see how it stacks up.
The money issue is kind of lame, when you can throw a V8 in a Yugo and make it insanely fast for less than 10k total. Hell buy a 2 thousand dollar Fox body and throw a twin turbo kit in. See what I mean? Different strokes for different folks.

If I was on the east coast I'd purposely go down to Florida to run his ***. He's saying he can run times like my supercharged C5, and that's bullshit with the mods he's talking. He's got **** done to that car to do what he's supposedly doing. If your car is that fast great, but don't ******* lie about your mods man. That's major 
You're talking about Ranger. And no, he only has done 'hundreds' of runs in the older C5 Z06, netting an 11.71(or was it .81) 1/4 mile on a stock C5 Z06. With a C6 Z06, he grabbed an 11.21(give or take) and 10.85 with DR's after 70 runs. Meaning, a competent driver could still get an 11.3-11.5 and 10.9's with DR's. Hell even the car magazines were pulling mid 11's with a stock C6 Z06. As I said, you beat a guy who can't launch.

I can't launch to save my life(this Z driver was spinning and bogging bad), but my friend has been drag racing for 20 years(his launch would have been similiar to the FD's in the video depending on what tires the FD is running). Sounds like a similiar story I had with a guy running a 2.3litre turbo 4cyl ford Mustang awhile back, while I was coming back form an alignment shop with my SR20 powered S13 coupe. I proceeded to walk away from him through each gear. FD and C5 I haven't had anybody try me yet. Maybe the two scare the ricers too much.
Well the V8 domestic cars are considerably heavier than any RX7 so you'll always have a weight advantage. My c5 weighs about 400lbs heavier than my FD, and about 600lbs heavier than my SR20 powered S13. However, they don't feel anywhere near as solid at say 140+mph as the C5 does. Also the C5 out of the factory is good for 170+mph.
The C6 is slower than a C5Z in the 1/4. Good kill, but not as impressive as if you had beaten a C5Z that time.
Most of the guys with the C6Z's probably won't know how to use them well and just have deep pockets, so make sure to murder them appropriately. Now if it's one of the guys I run with in my Vette runs, look out they'll murder you. These guys are insane and make us young guys look timid.

i got a friend who does the same thing but with his 300zx twin turbo. bought it modified putting down 402 to the wheels, never shuts the hell up about it
