It doesn't have to be the OP's FD vs the Z06. We're dealing with principles here. And these principles are valid, no matter where they are applied. YOU said it's about faster car vs slower car. I said this is not always the case and gave the OP the benefit of the doubt. You just keep running from the issue and I keep calling you on it.

 

Im sticking with one subject and one subject only. This thread, OPs FD and the Z06. Why would i even consider making this discussion harder than it really is?

Because like i said if you go back to read the OP's original post. Not only do you already know the Z wasnt racing, but his story is beyond reality, you cant but help say its a bullshit story.

So how you come up with these circumstances to make his story valid is beyond me.

If it were anything else, ill be totally agreeing with you cause you're right but im talking about this thread and this thread only.

All boils down to he was bullshitting or the Z wasnt racing.

1QWIK7 was NOT putting down the FD in this thread. The Z was not racing and, if he was, he was one of the world's worst drivers. It's that simple. Why put so much effort into this? This FD does NOT have the power to face off with a Z06.

If anything, someone has been observing 1QWIK7's recent posts and wants to take his anger out in this thread.

i ran a 12.0@115 in my FD with PFC/intake/openDP @14psi.

i live in bowling green KY, where the corvette plant happens to be, and there are corvettes everywhere and they're at the track every weekend with us.

the day i ran a 12.0, my first run was a 12.4, and it was against an old man (shitty driver) in an 06 C6 z06. he bogged the launch really bad and i had about 4 carlengths on him. i was chugging along in 4th gear and he pulled past me noticably faster by the end of the 1/4 mile.
that run for me was a 12.4@114, he ran a 12.2@121 with shitty driving.

my car is faster than yours and i got rolled up badly by a C6 z06.
the moral of this story is, this guy was messing with you.

Because they have opened their exhaust and no longer see 8 psi at the higher RPMs. On sequential twins, with my streetport and open exhaust my **** would pull all the way to redline.

 

The only thing that's going to settle this debate is a VIDEO.

 

 

I beat a Z06 the othe day in my almost stock FB...i ripped him a new one...but i quickly learned after the "race" that his car was just parked and no one was in the vette LOL!

Hahah this is kinda funny reading all this stuff. I don't really care if anyone believes me because I was out on the highway just having fun with another driver. We were both ecstatic to even have someone to play with. I don't know how it happened but I'll get a video if I see him again. You should really just enjoy the story, instead of arguing that it's impossible.

Edit: I don't really believe it happened most of the time. I just know that on this particular occasion that it happened. Could it have been a base model? It had a lot of the Z paraphernalia though.

Even though I think 1QWIK7 is the biggest supra fanboy on the planet, I have to agree with nearly everything he's said in this thread. A Z06 would destroy the OP's car. If the Z driver was just toying around with him, and the FD driver was giving it his all, that's still not a race. Just because you're racing, doesn't mean the other guy is.
