A friend of mine has bought a Bmw 130i M Sport, which has a 3.0L 265HP, six speed gearbox, 1450Kgs.., RWD


I own a 1994 RX-7 with 75000kms. My only mod are exhaust and downpipe.


WHat do u tell me? he told me to run 1st and 2nd...


BTW, I am a bit worried becouse my 7 only boost up to 0,6lbs...... (8,82Psi...)

RX7 can't lose LOL
With a short gearing (6spd) he will probably shift sooner than you need to and pull quicker, but if he hits 3rd he may real you in before you can pull away clean who knows. If you are not spooling good it's not the 7's fault for losing

I am getting 0,6lbs on a hot day. Maybe my turbos are tires, dont know...

what is true, is that if I race only between 1st and 2nd, my chanses are fewer, I better run until 4th gear!

My car had the same problem only .5 - .6 bar.. its in the shop now so im hopping its fixed when i get it back . teh 7 cant lose

what type of downpipe? if its a rb, i'm almost positive you will take him. They are just too heavy at least compared to our sleek rx7s. So, if you guys have similar driving skills you will come out on top... Good luck! Let us know how it goes....

 

Give it a shot, The BMW 1 is supposed to come to the USA Later on with the Twin Turbo 3.0L, but i think i read that in a magazine. So cross your fingers....but Twin Turbo in that car would be fast.

 

Assuming that is the same 3.0L that the 330's have in the US it would be a tight race. Even before the turbo 335 came out the 330 was still pretty quick and I dont even want to know what kind of sick stuff makes the euro motor better than the U.S. motor. It will be fun regardless, and I can't wait for the 1 series to hit the states.

My friend is getting a 130i. I've heard a lot about this car. Wonder how fast it is.

 

They are supposed to be pretty fast with the TT inline 6
