This is a reply to the question regarding the longevity of the metallic cat w/ or without the airpump
"It will make no difference to the life of the cat if it’s with or without the air pump.
We have a cat section running on our test car it is a MRMSC3, no air pump, it has done 24,000 km (approx15,000mls)so far and not a sign of any problems. Another friend has a completely stock vehicle except the exhaust (so he runs an airpump) he has done similar miles and also no problems."

The SMB unit is fully polished high quality one piece exhaust, material and quality wise, SMB units are much more superior than RB. Performance wise, SMB should meet or even exceed RB unit because of their long time experience in producing quality exhaust systems. Sound wise, that would be a personal preference, you might like RB sound more than SMB or the other way around. Anyways, as soon as we get the info directly from Grant, we will post them.

Interested in the METALLIC SUBSTRATE CONVERTER WITH MUFFLER 3” - MRMSC3M
Can I get it WITH the air pump connection? I need it to pass emissions.
Also need shipping cost to WA 98281.

yeah you can get it with the air pump connection. The one on my car currently has a connection for the airpump. Cost of shipping will be posted by Kevin in a few days. I will find out if there is any change in price.

I can get some sound clips of my car with a dp, metallic cat with muffler, and rb dual tip. I actually need to get rid of the rb dual tip and get an smb twin tip. SMB all the way.

There will be no difference in price with the air pump attachment. I am almost positive the twin tip will be quiet like the rb dual tip since Grant is all about trying to keep the noise level down. I am calling him tomorrow to get an update.

Regarding the noise transmitted by the smb twin tip
"You can be safe in assuring people that the twin tip muffler is quiet like the racing beat one, and that ours won’t restrict the exhaust flow."
