How is it that this has suddenly stalled??? I'm desperate for this piece. If we increse the down payment, can we get this going for the few of us that have already paid? I'm a selfish bastard...I know.

I was indefinitely laid off last Tuesday but am still trying to scrape the money together. Has any progress been made on determining the final construction? Like I said previously I'd like to see the wing reinforced with an aluminum tube running from endplate mount to endplate mount and laminated integrally with the wing.

yeah, so far only two deposits have been received so we will need 3 more to get this thing going.
Yes, the wing will definitely get reinforced with some core and we are still discussing the details with the tech guys at the production facility. We will see if we could use honeycomb core instead of aluminum tube. We will release more updates once the sample gets to the production facility.
As far as the positions of the mounting tabs, we will most likely not change the distance since the more centered they are, the more stress you will be putting on the ends of the wing and might cause it to shatter if not enough reinforcement.

I'm in the process of doing my taxes right now. Depending on what I'm getting back, I'll be in for sure. I'd like to see a honeycomb reinforcement over the aluminum tube personally. I have the money for the deposit right now but just wanna make sure I'll get enough back from taxes to cover the rest of the wing.
Give me a week and I'll know for sure.
