integlspwr, I believe the genuine RE-A wing is 1600 MM wide. Chris can confirm all the dimensions since he has the RE version on his car.

It would be awesome if the hood could get done before worrying about a wing.....

 

I think the ROI on a wing is more than a hood, can someone confirm?

the model im talking about looks like this, its only the mounting brackets im scared for.

From GT2 to GT3 they made a small change just the height of the brackets

i was part of another GB and there were nice pictures of it but i dont want to cross any forum rule, so if i can il post the forum post. and you can tell me what you think . I dont know how to use photo throught URL properly so id prefereably just want to copy paste it.

JKL could take the template and use it to make them. Let me know if i can.

 

wow.. i just read this entire thread... and i dont even own an rx7, lol. this looks like one hell of a deal and i would be in on the body and hood if i had one... but not the wing, haha..

 

From what I can see the pictured bases are completely different from the Amemiya ones unless toomuchboost can tell me otherwise.

My brackets are almost identical to the ones in the link dragon just put up...And if you go to the Re-Amiya Web site the gt2 wing brackets not the wide ugly looking gt3 brackets..

i was just asking what the measurement the wing that is being made. what measurement i need was the same as the 32" one.

 

No they more than likely will not look like those ones...



I havent had a chance to measure it... The stance is wider than thats one for sure if you look at my car the brackets are close to the very end on the hatch... Being that 240 are wider than a RX7 and the hatch is not nearly as wide as a 240 rear trunk I would assume however it will still fit.

i have no problem with the RE wing, im just asking about the mounting brackets. Since i also have seen a couple of cars with the wing. I gave seen some really HIGH brackets and wouldnt want it to look like a table top siting on the trunk of my car. The Shorter version of the brackets would be nice to have, what do you guys think?

 

Maybe the wing deserves its own group buy/thread to draw more attention... I consider myself lucky I stumbled across it in here.

When will the hood be done?

 

We are delaying the entire shipment slightly to add the hoods in there as well. They are being worked on so looking at another 2-3 weeks until they can be finished due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We are trying to get the factory to finish everything before they close for Christmas.
