Yet another V8 RX7
Hi all! Bryan here, some of the members from the Carolinas may recognize me or my car.
(Re)building an 87 RX7 hill climb/TT car. Glass nose/aero package, first gen SBC with Holley EFI, T101a is on its way in, along with an 8.8 IRS setup.
Used to be a drag racer, but my friend/boss got me hooked on this turning left and right thing when I accompanied him to the Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb.
Now that the car is undergoing its second major transformation, I will have plenty of questions on braking systems and suspension setups, look forward to kicking around a while!
And a quick shot from the last Dragon, pre-rebuild, before I chopped down a tree in turn 17, courtesy of Kyle at RoadCone Photo.

It ended up being roughly a draw. My splitter was obliterated and my front end was bent, but the Joyce Kilmer National Forest is minus one tree.
Between my crash and my spin from the previous event, the other racers have been thanking me for the tire tracks I've left, since apparently they make pretty good brake markers!

Only have a handful. Car is now completely gutted with a glass nose, glass doors going in, full cage going in, etc. etc.
For a while, I ran a COT splitter up front. Car was still tight, so went to the big splitter with spill plates. Setup worked awesome, then went over a transition from old to new pavement, back end just floated out, couldn't save it. 275 NT01's, manual steering, and bumpsteer make for some very interesting, and tiring, runs though. Hoping the new setup is slightly less dramatic when its done.

Thanks Jnalley. Yep, know several of the Clemson folks. TJ just crushes the CSP class in that Miata, and Nate set a BSP class record last time in a borrowed C4 Corvette that was on its last leg. Those guys can drive!
