Hey yall,

forgot about the minimum post count rule and also forgot my password to my old account. Its all good though. Long time member but never really post. My name is Zach. I drive an A3 2.0 FWD Currently. I used to have a 10ae that I never drove. It was a long term project that i ended up getting running but traded to a friend who finished and sold it. Needless to say I’ve had the itch for a properly set up car since i was prob 16 or 17. I’m 31 now. Anyway I wanted to look thru classifieds and forgot my stupid password which apparently I made so long ago the email I used is irrelevant as well. So I’m in for the comments. Maybe some day soon I can get an FD. Oh and my dogs name is Meeko hence the new sn. Tell me what you think about life and forgetfulness. Let me know in the comments below how yall cope with the rotary woes of gas guzzling finicky engines and why you love them so much. I know some guys dont and swap the motors out. I have a friend with a cym FD that he had built up then swapped to a 6.2L. I drove it once and it was awesome but just didn’t seem right.

So tell me, what is the friggen alure of the coveted 13b that gets us all wound up and ready to ignore all sensibility to reap the rewards of that unique sounding high revving engine? I have only had a taste so Im more hooked on the idea of it rather than the high I may have once had in the past.

And before anyone says “they can be reliable and proven” this is not what Im trying to contradict. I know they won le mans withone, many people track and drift with no issues but you all know that a used car has its issues and theyre more troublesome than a used camry. Theres a love hate with them that we all know (and obviously love) so lets talk about the psychological effects they take on us?

lets talk about it rx7club.

Welcome back!! I've found that rotaries are extremely reliable if they're maintained properly. One just has to know how to properly maintain them and not to abuse them constantly.

I had a bunch if pix of the 10ae on my old phone. Theyre so burried on facebook too that itd take me awhile tk find and post. It was smashed in the front when I bought it. Took the motor out and had a friend who is in collision work put it on a frame rack and straighten it all back out. Then when my other friend took over on it after I traded him for his bike he got it 100%, painted it and then sold it to one of his buddies. So its back on the road and last I heard it was pretty quick too.

I love white fc’s but Im after an FD at some point in the future (prob white as well). I at least need to srive a well sorted one to get it out of my system though I fear I’ll just be even more addicted
