New Member - 93 Rx7 Type R
Hello all,
I just purchased a 1993 type r. I am very excited to get to work on the car, once this midwest winter leaves. My plans for the car are to turn it into a cruiser/weekend track car. I have been a big s chassis guy and still own one as well, so its safe to say I enjoy FR cars.
I look forward to expanding my knowledge and learning more about the platform.
Thanks!

Thank you! I wasn’t too concerned with salt as one of the first thing I am going to do is a full respray.
I purchased some reinhardte coilovers and have some Te37’s to throw on, so we will start there and see how much more money it takes away from me 😂

Haha yeah I should've done that. I just got unlucky at timing of delivery. My paint is also not in the best shape so it wasn't the end of the world. How have you enjoyed yours so far?

Same here with it being my first FD. Where are you sourcing parts? New or used stuff? For my 240sx and other cars I’ve owned, I’ve always kind of went with period correct styling and interior mods from yaj auctions, up garage and other places. I see a ton of FD parts on there and was going to start there.

I actually work in Elgin and live in Woodstock so we are very close.
We should definitely find a meet or so to cruise to this summer.
