AB Steve From Canada

Hey guys, nice to be a part of the Rx7 world finally! As the title states I'm from Canada more specifically Alberta. I bought my RHD 1992 enfini about 2 weeks ago and love it. Hopefully i can make some friends and learn some things to get started on fixing it up!

Welcome Steve! That's an awesome benefit of living in Canada, you are able to import and drive much better cars than the States, enjoy it!

I just spent a year living in Toronto, and there was definately a wider variety of cars there than in the States. Congratulations on your purchase and I hope you have fun with it.

Nice! Curious if you're by edmonton, calgary or somewhere else. In edmonton, we have an rx7club and a few other tuner based clubs that meet weekly in the summer. if you want some info, let me know,

also what colour is your car? I'm not sure how many FDs there are rolling around in winter months, but i noticed a silver one show up about 2 weeks ago on the walk to school (sort of downtown edmonton). I thought it was just there cause it got caught in that dump of snow but even now that it's melted, I can see that it's being moved pretty well daily. If that's yours, i live just up the street from you!

ahhhh Canada, I just love the 15 year rule! Here in Ontario we have a specialized car dealer for RHD vehicles. I'm still jealous of Australia though, they can import cars from Japan at any year!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yeah I live in Calgary so it wasn't me cruising around Edmonton. I couldn't if i wanted to anyway i bought the FD not running, well basically not running. The rear rotor was destroyed as well as the housing, and the front was starting to go to, the guys i got it from just gave up on the poor car and left it to rot and get parted out.

Yeah Canada is awesome with the 15 year rule, I got mine from a dealer type thing as well, there is quite a few around Calgary. Right now I'm making it LHD (yeah don't hate me), and swapping the motor for something else. I couldn't find another good 13b to use, and I have a built motor out of something else that I don't want to part with so it only made sense, but I'm kind of on the fence about it right now. But anyway nice to part of the community finally!
