Rotary newbie from socal!

Hi all.

So now that I've decided to go rotary, I'm making the move to these forums. Lurking around here I've found every bit of info on these cars is posted somewhere in these threads. And now that I'm registered, I've experienced how helpful and knowledgeable the members can be.

I just want to say thanks for the warm welcome and that I can't wait to be part of such a great community.

Well, what exactly made you go rotary, though, kacex? Movie or did a ride in a friend's car tip you over? In any case, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

Unfortunately my daily was totaled last month. I've been driving around a '91 Toyota 4runner and though I love the car you can imagine that its incredibly impractical to drive around LA. Besides I've always wanted an FC and its totally within budget, so why not? Lol.

I had a Lexus is350. Losing it has given me a chance to go rotary, but I really hate losing that car.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Welcome Kacex. I am an FD owner from Reno visiting in SoCal for the holidays. Have you checked Craigslist for your new ride?

Would love to meet other owners while I am in town - any get togethers planned in near future?

Been looking around CL for awhile. I have a post in the 'new member technical' area for a fc I found, but thought I'd wait for one in better condition.

Now I've decided to buy a roller for a t2 engine. Haven't really put effort into finding the roller yet, with finals this week, but when I'm through with them I'll start posting ads.

I'm not totally sure about meetups. Make sure to check the west lounge. There's a posting on how to attend a live filming of top gear. However, with sevenstock over I think there won't be another huge event until the next one.
