Pushing it across the finish line

Hey guys, I recently decided to jump on an opportunity to pick up my dream car, an rx7 fd3s. It’s a 1993 roller r1. It’s not much yet but it will be. I’m paying $2500 in total for it. The dash, seats, fenders, and new rear quarter panels are off to the side and come with it.

Yeah sadly there’s rust there but he has brand new quarter panels and front under fenders too just need to get them cut out and the new ones welded on. I’m thinking either billet or forged 20b running at 11k rpm, ported (haven’t decided which port yet), a 17 gal race fuel tank because I’m gonna have to get an exhaust with 4 exits otherwise I’m pretty sure my neighbors would hate me. I’m also going either single or sequential with my turbo set up. I’m planning on having it murdered out with some origin fenders probably just the 30 or 50 mm. It’s gonna be super clean if I can pull this off 😬

Indeed! I’m sure I’ll be on rx7club at least once a week asking questions 😅

Welcome! That's quite the project, but I respect the effort and time that will go into building the car! It will make an amazing restoration!

Thanks! Ya I’m super excited to get started. I actually have a friend who works in body work so he’s gonna help me doit. It’s a little less work than me doing it all by myself but yeah.

The up side here is that this will give you an opportunity to paint the car properly, especially if you want to deviate from the original color, which appears to be red. Are you planning in restoring the car?

My thoughts exactly! I plan on going with all black. It will allow me to replace all the bushing and such easily too.
