tom indeed sir.

and on the contrary. it twas the v8! hehe
ive always wanted a rex but the heating problems and cost to rebuild kept me away from it. now the solution is american v8 with slightly, if anything, balance and handling issues.

im going to look more in depth about this swap before i let my hands get busy.

o just a question... should i just buy a rex with the swap done, or do it myself?
any any pros or cons on either path? any opinion is greatly appreciated!

V8 swap in a 2nd or 3rdgen can be made to work out and not lose the handling...the same cannot be said of a V8 swap into a 1stgen...it would have to be an all aluminum engine with titanium rods and pistons to keep the braking and handling intact with that swap...scores of SCCA runs and GRM yearly competitions keep driving the point home.

In any situation, though, it makes me sad to see you going down that road...

I'll have to say I'm goin with FDs. They are more expensive, but they just break [-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------] that much more necks.

And I've also looked up a couple 1/2jz rx7's. I think they are okay.
Anything special about these besides the fact that it's I6? Good vs Bad?

I'm sure you'll find something you like... found my old FC years back and enjoyed the car way too much.
