Ok here my story I found a barn fresh 1984 RX-7 no sure of the model Se i think for 300.00 ad stated it didn't run been sitting for 5 years. Body didn't look bad in the picture so I went to look at it. Talked with the owner it needs a new exhaust there is some surface rust on the drivers side door and is missing the trim on the door. there's about 5 years worth of barn dust covering the interior. I wanted to see if the motor was locked up or would fire. I popped the hood expecting a 4 cylinder lol suprize a rotary engine. and a ton of straw cleaned out the straw. no signs of mice or cats damage poped out the spark plugs (previous owner must haved use anti seize) shot some oil in. dumped a couple gallons of gas in the tank put a battery in dumped a little gas in the carb turned the key the motor turned over no problem after a dozen trys and a half a can of starting fluid in started and ran on a high idle smoked like hell at first then tapper off after about 5 minute's so I bought it and will be picking up this friday with a trailer. Once I get it home what should i really be looking for. before I start on this project.

OK update it has 134,687 It is the Se model found it south east of Indianapolis Should have pic's up this weekend

 

New surprise it's a 1985 so says the title and registration plus i found the owner manual in the glove box.
