What's up everyone, new to the rotorary motor.. I've been a honda guy all my life and still one.. I have a 02 s2k and a 08 s2k CR, both are white... I just bought my first rx7(1gen); thought I would just buy a 1gen to learn a little about rotorary.

Well Mr. Glister, what was it exactly that made you take the rotary plunge, then? Great deal on the car or inspired by a ride in a friend's car or InitialD...? I want to thank you for picking up a little ol' 1stgen and saving it from a date with a crusher. I have a couple of them myself.

Thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

I've heard just the opposite but I've yet to do one myself. I've done a rear-end swap, so rebuilding a transmission and rebuilding the rotary engine are the last things I need to learn how to do on these cars. Now that I know where 12A's tend to fail first, I'll be looking to modify or strengthen those areas while I attempt a refresh rebuild on my '80 Rotary Performance Big Street Port 12A.
