My name is Will and I just picked up my first rotary car ever yesterday. It is an all original 87 TII with 46k original miles. To be honest I'm kind of reluctant to mod it because of how original it is. Some of my other hobbies include console gaming and RC drift.
Here are some pictures of my car. Enjoy!

I think you may be thinking of Han's Veilside RX-7 or even possibly Neela's RX-8. I don't remember there being a 2nd Gen RX-7 in Tokyo Drift but then again it has been awhile since I last watched it.
Clean purchase though. For a 20 year old car that looks absolutely beautiful. I wish I could find these gems in Wisconsin. If you don't mind me asking what was the price on something in such excellent condition?

Wow that's a awesome buy. I just bought same model/year two weeks ago but not nearly as clean as that. Congrats on the buy and I don't envy you with the modding decision or not. It would be tough for me to decide too as clean and original as that is.

Thanks! But yeah, I'm thinking just to do upgrades to increase the reliability and whatnot. Maybe some period correct MS wheels to keep it original.

I saw it also. I kept thinking that it had to be one of the cleanest, most original FC's out there. Any hidden problems OP? I remember the ad pretty vividly. They mentioned something about the paint being off on the gas lid.

Yeah, the gas lid was swapped out because it got dented, there were no hidden problems besides things that are pretty normal on these cars. Oil return line leak, oil pan leak, and shifter leak.
