I have been considering putting a 12a engine into my MG Midget. In trying to learn about these engines, I stumbled across a complete, NOS, 12a, dual distributor engine from 1970-74 that has never been installed or run. It still has its Mazda factory inspection tag on it. I brought this engine home last week, but it seems wrong to use a rare antique for an engine swap. So I and am now trying to determine what it might be worth to a collector/restorer who really ought to have it. What is a reasonable price for an RX-2 engine with zero miles that has been sitting in a warehouse for 30-something years?
