New to Site, return to rotary after 30 year hiatus

Just wanted to introduce myself and start to (re)learn about 1st generation rotaries. I had a 1981 GS back in the early nineties and recently acquired a 1984 GSLSE. The 13B and fuel injection is very different than my 81 carbed 12a.

Look forward to chatting and getting to know my new toy better.
Brandon

I love the wheels on this one! Is your 13B NA? Any plans for it?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new RX-7! The SE looks to be in great shape overall! Do you know any of the car's history? How does it run and drive?

Thank you, wheels are great, but them being 16” is challenging to find some good tires that fit under there with the lowering springs.

Yes, 13B NA, all stock minus a custom built 3” exhaust.

no huge plans as of yet, just tune up, get running good and go from there. I do know I do not plan on heavy mods at least for now. Probably clean up the engine bay a bit and refresh the suspension.

Thank you! Do not have a ton of documented history other than I am a the third owner. Original owner in NJ accumulating about ~27k miles then stored away. 2nd owner who I bought from used it in Florida and didn’t drive it much, mostly trailered to car shows.

Drives and runs decent minus the sputtering at high RPMs noted in my tech thread.

All original interior, carpeting, dash, and leather seats. Working on the fuel gauge as it reports 1/2 tank when full. Also investigating the power antenna and rear wipers, both work when power applied at the unit, so must be relay or wiring.

It does have a decent factory color repaint with a few blemishes. Mostly rust free except some surface rust on some of the suspension components.
