I just bought a clean, very low mileage 87 GXL and had technical questions. I found my answers and more in the FAQ, so I'll just introduce myself here.

I've been driving my NA Miata for several years, but it has seen better days. Upon diagnosing an oil burning issue (piston rings) I noticed the engine was also missing 2 rotors I'll be installing a 13B and taking care of its other issues. For now I got this RX7 as a replacement and I'm very impressed especially with the rotary engine.

Southeastern PA, about 20mi outside of Philadelphia

Thanks, since you're from PA, do you know what meets are good in the area?

 

I've yet to find any in Pa, there always some in jersey or delaware though. The Northeast section is a good place to see what's happening in our area. I've seen a handful of 7's around here, but always seems they're not a member here.

 

Guys, we should start our own meets in southeast PA. Me and another member on here live about an hour and 15 minutes north of philly, so that's two more.

 

That sounds like a good idea, I've driven 200+ miles to Miata meets so I wouldn't mind at all.

 

I'd be game, I drove to Richmond for my Sport, and Lancaster for my TII, so alittle traveling doesn't bother me

All we need is a meeting place, and in my case a navigation system. Any ideas?

 

there's a meet every Thursday night on at the sonic on street road about 15 minutes from philly, not mazda/rx7 specific but alot of cool people/cars

 

That sounds like a good spot, it's actually roughly 10 minutes from me, but it's also pratically right off the 95 street road off ramp.

 

Cool, I'll see if I can make it to some before the cold sets in. I'm still working on getting everything back together right now though.
