Hi Everyone,
As of 3 days ago I am the proud owner of a silver 1985 mazda rx-7 gs with 200,000 kms. Body is in great shape, minimal rust. It came from an estate, through a local guy that didn't have the time to work on it. It seems to have been well taken care of, but it sat awhile and it's currently running like crap haha. A local rotary genius took a look at it and seems to think the issues are minor (carb?). I think he'll be a godsend throughout this project. I'm sure i'll have a thousand questions for everyone as I try to learn all the ins and outs so please be patient.
All I can say about myself is i'm 34. I bought my first car when I was 15 and worked on it until I had my license haha. It was a 1993 mazda mx-3, which was a great car. I imported a japanese v6 called a klze and that car really moved by the time it died on me in University. Anyway since then its been practical and boring so i'm beyond excited to have a project car to play with again

In spring I want to deal with the rust and repaint it (its been repainted once before and they did a realllly amateur job). Then get the most out of the engine with some tasteful exhaust as it has a fart can right now haha. If the engine goes at some point i'd cross that bridge when I get there.
