Good Day RX7club,
My name is Adam from Minneapolis, MN. I just joined the forum to network with other RX7 owners and gather information I need for my swap.
I am going to be starting a build thread here shortly for my 85 GSL-SE. My motor of choice is a F20C from an AP1 S2000 which should be here Monday.
I picked up the car on a whim from a co-worker that popped a seal on the stock 13b coming into work. I jokingly said "so, 100 dollars?" and he replied back with "times that by 8 and you can have it!". So.... I bought an RX7 that day LOL.
Plans for the car is to just have a street machine that I'll occasionally take to some local track days. First year of the swap will be sorting out all the bugs, then next winter will come paint and turbo + e85.
Below is a series of pictures, not necessarily in order, of the build so far. On day 1 I pulled the stock motor. A few days later stripped the interior out to remove the factory harness for me to break down and only keep the necessities. Then just last night we started removing all the sound deadening so we can prep for the cage, sparco's, and paint.
Next step will be mocking up the motor, and trying to sort out some sort of steering rack conversion!
Beyond my passion to build ridiculous cars, I am a die-hard hockey fan and my other hobby is detailing/paint correction!
