New Member/New Owner
Hey guys!
I became an owner of an '84 GSL in the spring that I'm doing the GSL-SE suspension swap on this winter. I still have some parts to acquire but it's mostly there, I've already swapped the drivers seat for a Sparco Pro 2000 and am going to do a couple other performance mods for autocross next year. What's up!

Welcome!!! I have to admit that your car looks great in yellow! It was done very well and it's a great color on the car. What color was the car originally and were the door jams and engine bay but in?
It was one of the metallic blue colors, I’m not sure which one. And the yellow paint is really quite bad. I intentionally didn’t get close enough with the camera to make it visible. I’m thinking about a repaint, maybe a gunmetal silver kind of color.
Well it looks great in the pictures!! Color code can be found on the vin tag on the right side of the firewall if you ever want or need to know. If it were blue originally it would have been Tender Blue Metallic. Is the engine bay cut in with the yellow paint as well?
The paint job was a bit of a hack job, the engine bay wasn’t masked off so everything under the hood is covered in yellow overspray. all of the seals around the sun roof and hood also got painted yellow. At some point someone tried to fix the flaking off yellow paint by brushing some yellow model paint over the factory blue that was showing through. This car is definitely a 10 footer, but I’m not worried about doing the bodywork and paint myself so it’s on the list of things to fix.

That's good to hear. It will definitely be a fun project! Having Tender Blue over brown leather is pretty rare. Being restored back to it's original color scheme would add quite a bit of value to the car!
