Hi Sean,

This is so odd, I've just got myself a FD, but I used to have a V6 MR2, and I remember following your thread on MR2OC, they gave you some hip on there I remember. I offered to re-trim your dash in Alcantara before I realised you were doing it in carbon fibre.

Amazing skill my friend, care to share how you managed to make a custom dash? I always thought about it for my MR2 but never followed through.

@ Steve@edgeautomotive - Cheers for the offer on the re-trim on the dash i made the dash out of foam and carved the dash out of it to the shap i wanted then fiberglass the the mould then gel coat and skim bits of the dash with filler and then sent off for carbon fiber its an easy process but time consuming took me 3 months and over 500 hours to make

@ Scottish1 - Thanks its about 85% complete so its getting there

@ Cowboy BeeBop - Cheers

Last section to go in as there is nobody around to help me i had to improvise

Top section in place

Getting there

Any welded areas all sealed and any exposed areas all sealed

Have been doing a bit of work on a mr2 convertible so i got the chance to make up a frame for the door for a bit or strength as there is no weight in the doors and to stop them flexing when there opened
