Welcome to the forum Kenny!! That's a really nice Sparkling Black Metallic GSL-SE! Do you know any of the car's history?

Regarding the hatch shocks, they are extremely simple to do. I replace one side at a time and keep a support lock on the one I'm not replacing so that the hatch doesn't drop.

Oil brand is subject to preference, though most use snd recommend conventional oil. I have used Castrol GTX 20W50 for 24 years in my RX-7's and have been more than happy with it.

Hatch struts are pretty simple to remove and replace. They can be rebuilt to retain originality. A little more expensive and time consuming, but they will still be the original struts.
