New guy with a Widebody 1st Gen

Hey all,

My names Chris, this is my 4th Rotary. My first three were all GSL-SE's but this fourth one i just got is a 83' 12a Street ported and has the Mariah Mode 1 widebody kit on her. This is the first modded rotary i have owned and i hope to use the forum to smooth and tune this beaut. I look forward to all the advice and help that i am sure this forum will provide.

Thanks

Now that is quite the lovely car you got there. there are many enthusiasts that do widebody kits on SA's and FB's on here and for your tuning purposes you have come to the right place. These people on here are helpful. Welcome aboard

I just bought the car so i will have to take some good photo's tomorrow. I'll post as soon as i can. It's pretty cool, the engine is the real beauty. the interior is the worst part and i need a whole new dash. I have auto bahn wheels on her and i have to admit they are a little hard to turn without power steering. all in all it's a wide body (first one i ever owned) and it has a street ported engine all for a grand.

I appreciate you comments but don't be fooled by the vague picture, this thing needs work. the interior is the worst that i have seen in an rx, except the seats that (while still 80s looking) are actually in good condition. the carpet is trashed, the dash is cracked and all the plastics are crap. i actually need an entire new dashboard. all that said though i still got a deal on the price. the hatch alone retails for 1150.00 and i had the hatch by itself on craigslist for 575.00 (it's just too hardcore for me, LOL)

If anything, make a build thread out of your work progress in the 1st gen section.
