New guy from SoCal.
Hey what's up guys I joined this forum a while ago but I've just been lurking. I own a 1988 NA automatic. All black with rear seats. I'm new to rotories but I'm willing to learn. I picked her up for $1000 firm from a craigslist add. Its got too many miles 286,XXX o_O. I think I got a fairly good deal. I don't know how to upload pics from my phone, but soon as I do ill be sure to post them up. I'm currently rebuilding the motor and I've come across a lot of interesting things about my car. For starters they (the previous owner) welded one of the motor mounts for some reason. Idk. I'm thinking a shade tree got ahold of it at one point. As soon as I get enough post ill start a build thread. Any questions feel free to ask.

Name...what's the name since this is the "Introduce yourself" board, after all. I see the initial registering as August 2011, so have you spent all that time leading up to getting that car or trying to figure out what to do with it next?

Oh sorry, my name is Chris. I registered for the site after I picked her up. I'm doing a 5speed conversion right now, ill be sure to start a build thread as soon as I'm done. I've been taking lots of pictures during the whole process. I hope to be done sometime this week.

Chris, at least you've got decent weather to get all that done. That's a nice intermediate-level modification to make and makes a world of a difference whether it was a 4-speed SA or an auto-tranny FC. Night and day. You'll love it.
Cold weather here in Texas slows things down if you work outside. Nothing quite like the pain of a cold wrench cracking the cold knuckles or the backside of your hand. Makes you want to go ballistic like Chevy Chase in that movie Christmas Vacation from 1989 when he's playing with the outside lights and they don't work right off the bat.
