New Guy ('79 Rx7)

Hey all! Brand new to the forum here.
On September 21st, 2023, I bought my first project car. It's a 1979 Mazda Rx-7 SA.

She has 75k OG miles and the engine has never been opened and turns over. It's sat for at least a year or two since running, if not longer. I'm currently rebuilding the carb (no hydrosonic cleaning, just a rag and carb cleaner ).
I've done my research and have learned a lot, but I'm only just getting hands-on experience, so if anyone has any tips or advice, please, let me know, I'm hungry for knowledge

Welcome to the forum!! The car looks like it will clean up well! Many guys recommend using the original needles and seats when rebuilding the carb. I do and have never had an issue. Will look forward to seeing you over in the 1st Gen section!

Thanks! Yeah I'm super stoked at having found such a gem for so little.
It's funny you mention that though, because with a lot of the car, I'm just leaving things unchanged, just cleaning things up, especially since the whole thing's stock, so yeah I've left all needles and seats as they are, just cleaned them out a bit
