New guy here, new to rx7 specs. F'd up my carb
Hello everyone,
If my question has already been asked sorry.
I'm Interested in some help with sources to find a working used or new carburetor. Unless you all feel strongly about efi conversion which I'm looking into.
Long story story bought an 84 rx7 w/bad carb and thought I could rebuild it. Well 😆 I lost a piece and mistakenly deleted pics of original positions of mechanical parts. Now I feel best to aquire another carb or find an alternative. Any suggestions, critique, advice, direction is veryuch welcomed....
Thx rx7 fam.

welcome to the board.
so here are some ideas. by no means are they the only ones, but i'll just throw a few out there.
for sourcing one, it's a matter of looking any- and everywhere you can. parts are scarce and expensive for these cars, and will probably only get moreso on both counts in the near future, so look anywhere you can. try to plug yourself into any local or semi-local rotary communities. there is a Regional forum on the board that can help you with that. you can also post a WTB ad in the Classifieds here as well.
that said, what part are you missing? maybe you can find someone that has parts or a broken carburetor that could allow you to fix yours. you can probably find a decent schematic or (if it comes to it) post a rebuild thread where some of the guys can help you put it back together.
another possibility is going aftermarket, like a Weber.
