New to forum from MI - '88 rx7 gxl (pics)

Hello community, my name is Kneco (Nico). I recently purchased my first rotary car, a 1988 rx7 gxl. My intention is to use the rx7 as a track car at my local road course track. I currently track a Porsche 911 but always loved the rotary cars. My daily driver is a slightly modified 2007 mazdaspeed 3 GT. It has Turboxs downpipe, test pipe, rear resonator delete, Cobb short ram intake and rear motor mount insert.
I'm sure with the wealth of knowledge on this forum, my experience with my new toy should be a pleasant one.

Welcome aboard, Nico....and I apologize for having to delete all but the two pics of the RX-7 since they were all giant bandwidth killers torturing our poor server and 56k crowd.

As a dedicated track car, the rexy should give a whole new meaning to staying in the powerband.

Not a problem, I'll post results of how the RX-7 handles from the next open track day. I'll post rx7club friendly pictures in the race section.
There may be a pic or two of my 911 or my mazdaspeed3 because I track them all.

Post the pics of the 911....that is a nice sled there.

To me, that is the only car that looks good with a whale tail rear airfoil.

I go to Waterford Hills in Waterford, Gratten and Gingerman in Grand Rapids. Waterford hills is the closest to me but the smallest of the three. Gratten and Gingerman are my favorite choices.

Welcome!
Have you been to any of the local tracks (Gingerman, Grattan, Waterford)?

All three, the Grand Rapid tracks are my favorite. Waterford hills is alright since it's only a 45 min drive. Waterford Hills has these weird deep whoopee doos on various sides of the course that if run over will ricochet you into a wall.

Watch this video of a miata that hits the whoopee doos.
