Hey guys my name is Gabe, I’ve had my grandpas 1986 rx7 gxl for a while now and ive been lurking on the forums but have yet to create an account. Im a second year college student in California trying to get into building rotaries. The car currently is a 6 port auto and i recently picked up a s4 5 speed and the engine that came with. Both are in my apartment bedroom. In a few months though i’ll be living in a house with a garage so i wont have to do any swaps in any parking lots lol. I have many questions and im excited to learn.

I’m not sure, he had it since i was very young. Its in really nice condition. It sat for a few years tho after he passed. Coolant system is a lil gunked but i did a flush.

How does the car run and drive currently? Are you planning a 5spd swap?

 

it runs and drives Ok, i think the only thing not leaking tho is the coolant haha. I am planning on doing the 5 spd swap, i believe i have everything except a clutch and brake pedal assembly and cylinders but i have the trans, flywheel, auto tranny mount, and drive shaft
