New from FL...Now I've got the car!!
hey guys im new here and im from St.Pete FL. I dont currently own an RX7 but I may here in the next few days which is why I am here. I recently met a guy on another forum called tamparacing.com He is trying to trade his 91 FC. I own a 94 Formula Firebird and have been looking to get into an rx7. I brought it to his attention that I may be interested in trading and he pm'd me back that he was also. So we have set up a meeting for tonight so we can check each others cars out but he has already expressed from looking at my description and pictures that he wants to trade. MY QUESTIONS ARE. Since I am not too familiar with these cars and rotary engines what are some things I should look for when I go tonight? Like common problems? Certain things to inspect? He said it has 112,000 miles....its completely stock NO mods. Its very clean with the exception of one exterior blemish. Interior is very clean as well with ice cold a/c. I have onl;y seen one pic of the car and its just an outside pic and the car looks pretty good. Any help would be much appreciated. And how are these 13b motors? reliable? is 112,000 miles kind of a lot for this engine?

Ehh the Formy actually had some pretty wide meats all the way around and had large front and rear sway bar upgrades with other suspension mods...but I haven't really pushed the rx7 yet. I like it a lot though. It's bone stock

Ah, I see. Well... did you ever autocross your Formula? What are your plans for your RX7?
