New FD owner

I owned and 79 and 86 RX-7 back in the 90's and Worked for Mazda when the FD's came out, but was never able to buy one. Years passed and i just found a 1994 R2 in need of restoration. I'll be spending a lot of time here while doing the restoration and sorting out all the intricacies of the FD. :-)

Pics of RX-7

Here’s some pics. Trying to go through it and learn how everything works and sort out as many issues as possible before I start taking it apart to restore it.

Congrats on the pick up! The interior is super clean, and looks all intact, which is a huge win for your restoration. Looking forward to seeing progress on this.

Yeah, that was key, that everything was there, so I wasn’t chasing parts, or sorting out a big mess.

Yeah, runs and drives, starts every time when cold and doesn't smoke, but compression is about 75psi on all rotor faces, so will need a rebuild.

...and duct that intercooler (which looks to me like it came from Greddy/Trust ).

The interior looks nice and clean!

It is a Trust intercooler. I'll duct it if I end up using it. The plan is to check the condition of everything and see what works etc, then it is coming completely apart for paint and then I'll refurb everything as I put it back together.
