Bout half a year ago I got drunk with my pals, ended up getting lost in the middle of nowhere northern Michigan, and while the DD tried to figure out how to get back onto the main road, trundling down an unmarked dirt road, I spotted an 86 RX7 GXL for sale. Looked under it and its possibly the cleanest Michigan car Ive ever seen. Told the guy id be back the next day to pick it up. Direction is more of a Street/Track build. Right now its pretty much stock. Ive removed the A/C system, the AIR pump, converted the power steering to manual (Best decision ever), and put this thing on a conservative diet. Right now im down about 120lbs. Im still working out some idling kinks and trying to bump up power where I can, but once Im happy with this car as a DRIVERS car, then im going to start hunting for some more power. Main concerns right now are making it as raw of a driving experience as I can while still retaining SOME streetability. Manual steering, manual brakes, emissions delete, no A/C or entertainment.

Ill be around looking for advice on fixing certain problems, and thoughts on ideas im having.

Actually I'm from SE Michigan, was just up north with pals. To add an even greater level of mystery to the whole story, my coworker who has a monster 300hp turbo Miata was telling me I had to buy a Miata and I told him that if I were to ever buy a Mazda it would 100% be an FC RX7. This was about 3 days before I found the one I have now. No real intention of buying an RX7 either, hell I wasn't looking to buy any car. Just ran into it by dumb chance and said screw it.
