Hello Everyone,

My name is Andy from Bloomfield township, mi.

I just got this little guy off the trailer from a chump car team that had a false start. Lots of little things to work on but in general here is what I've noticed, and will probably be looking for some help on.

The brakes are spongy, like really soft. It has FC turbo brakes and 5 lug hubs, no parking brake (need to find one?) and also no undertray on the radiator. Does anyone have a stock one they'd be willing to part with?

We're setting up a chump car team. The car also is a little off on the ride height from right to left, not sure if it's a spring issue or the chassis is bent? Any comments?

The previous owners removed the catalyst, but then fitted a stock exhaust, any thoughts on whether or not that will meet chump car's 92db noise limit?

Quick picture of when we picked it up. We expected to encounter rain on the way home and the cage isn't painted yet, so plastic wrap FTW.

Welcome Andy! Bloomfield Township huh? I had a house behind the Mazda dealership on Telegraph between Square lake and South Boulevard. Oakland County has plenty good mechanics and you're not far from Chip Motorsports off 10 mile near Ryan. We also have several knowledgeable members in Michigan. So Welcome and keep us posted on the new project!

 

Thanks, going to be slow this week because I have a lot to catch up on after spending all day saturday on the road picking up the car and then mothers day today. Expect to see a lot of newbie questions from me... I'm not familiar with the rotary architecture. I know they work, but haven't spent enough time digging around to figure out what's what yet.
