I've been working on my MX5 NC for 2 years and the project is still continuing, I bought it as pretty much stock, then I put a JDM type 5 13B-REW in it because I want a really spacial engine.
It currently has latest Mitsubishi HKS GT3 4R turbo, which is basically a TO4Z. It only been slightly ported a bit because I still want to daily drive it in very busy city. And I changed it to FC's 8.5cr rotors. But sadly my tuner can't get here recently because the virus, so now I have no idea how much power it'll make.

Here they are. I didn't use any swap kit but the engine mount is similar to the RX8 swap kit. And unlike the RX8, transmission & ppf & driveshaft & shifter couldn't simply bolt on, they all did some change.
Not a very complete work I admit, but definitely not roughly as it looks like. I feel enough for the whole build temporarily.
I don’t think it’d be up to an ND with same, but it would probably be a lot more work pulling it off.
Actually… I don't think ND is a better platform for this, I can't love its steering feeling and the smaller size. Yes it has better body rigidity and a bit lighter, but NC still is my favorite.
