New 84 GSL-SE Owner
Hey all, finally decided to join the forums after lurking for the past few weeks. I picked up a 1984 GSL-SE with the fuel injected 13b thats pretty much in pieces. I bought it off of a friends grandfather, and the car has a long backstory i wont get into here, but i've seen this car for the better part of 7 years sitting in the same spot. It was in a minor accident which screwed the front bumper and the right bumper support was bent down, but this car will be more of a "racecar" type build. I just got the engine pulled yesterday so here are a few pictures as it sits.
Has been sitting in this garage for 12 years, on jackstands for roughly 7. Time to get it back on the road.
Interior will most likely stay gutted due to so much rat poop, and mold. Have some more carpet to rip out once i remove the dashboard.
Will probably be using a fuel cell since i'm sure the original tank is dirty as hell inside. Also will make everything easier to access/run fuel lines.
Engine removed from bay. Removing A/C and Power steering components. As well as emissions related garbage.
Engine is out! Shes dirty, but ran well when parked. So hopefully since it hasnt been touched since, a rebuild and clean up is all it needs!
Cant wait to start the official build thread when i pass the vetting process. I've been really excited and have a lot of brand new parts that came with it that I can begin putting together while i save up for the power goodies!
A big build is to come. And no, this build will not fall off.
